MPI Paints

The Master Painters Institute (MPI) is a third party organization that sets performance standards for commercially available paints and coatings that have been adopted by the US and Canadian governments.  Since they are known standards, they are generally referenced in instances where painting is required in government, municipal and private specifications.  The MPI is now affiliated with the NACE (National Association of Corrosion Engineers) and the SSPC (Society for Protective Coatings) who have recently merged their organizations.

To be included in the list of approved products and manufacturers, a specific product has been submitted to the MPI and tested and approved prior to inclusion on an approved listing.
Indmar Coatings Corporation produces selective products which have been tested and approved for listing.
